Important Timetable Update

Changes to the evening Timetable in September

Top Lines

  1. Starting September, we'll be adjusting our evening timetable to accommodate the Table Tennis section's schedule.

  2. New 30-minute QuickFit sessions will be introduced on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at 6pm - perfect for those with busy schedules! Sorry, no class on Wednesday nights.

Read on for more detail:

As many of you know, the room is a multi-use space shared with Table Tennis and other sports at the Club. The Table Tennis section have a busy schedule coming up and will require greater availability for their evening league matches from September to April, which will have an impact on our normal 6pm sessions.

Their biggest and most important league night is Wednesday so unfortunately, we will no longer be able to accommodate Wednesday evening classes from 3rd September. I know this will be a huge disappointment to those that enjoy Neil’s Boxing classes, however, there are no planned changes to Friday’s 6pm Boxing session.

The Club have also requested that the Table Tennis section be given access and use of the room from 6.30pm weeknights for training and league matches.

Having discussed the impact of this with many of you and amongst the team, we have decided to trial our 30min QuickFit session from 6pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings finishing at 6:30pm.

If you have ever tried QuickFit, you’ll know that it packs a punch! A short and mighty half hour blast; same style of brilliant workout, just superbly time efficient! And of course, if the weather is nice, we can go outside and take our time.

We considered cutting all the evening classes, but I know it would disappoint lots of you that can only come in the evening sessions, and I really didn’t want to let you down.

We thought about bringing the start time of the 6pm classes forward to 5.45pm, but as many of you come to a class after work, a poll of the team showed that half the class wouldn’t be able to make it, as you would likely be battling rush hour traffic.

I know it’s not ideal and will be a disappointment to many of you on your fitness journey with us, but it is the best solution I can come up with to accommodate the increased demand for the room.  We hope to be able to revert to our original 45 minute sessions once Table Tennis’s league finishes in April.

If you would prefer a longer and more tailored workout, Ronan is looking at putting on some small group PT sessions in the evenings in the mini gym.  Space will be limited to ensure quality instruction, so be sure to book your spot early. If you are interested in this, please do speak to him directly for more details or email: rhstrengththerapy@gmail.com

Thanks for your understanding about this and I hope you can see that it is out of my control.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak to me after class or send me a message – flixtonfitness@gmail.com
